Project Overview
When water intrusion occurred in a finished interior space on the University of Maryland campus, the facilities team turned to SGS for a swift and lasting solution. SGS responded promptly, diagnosing the issue and developing an effective repair plan within one day. SGS implemented a gel curtain grouting approach designed to stop water movement through the wall’s hidden voids. The result was a long-lasting, noninvasive solution that restored the integrity of the below-grade structure and resolved the intrusion issue with minimal impact to the university facility.
This rapid assessment allowed the SGS team to mobilize quickly, restore protection to the below-grade wall, and prevent further disruption to students and university operations.
